Lunch at Chevys

(by Stephanie) A big group of 22 kidlinkers met at Chevy’s for tex-mex and adult conversation. Since there were lots of them at this event, we got to find out how much Ryan and Eric love little babies! The waitress gave out tortilla dough and crayons to the kids, which seemed to be a big hit.

Mom’s Night Out at Forever Fondue

(by Maria) Forever Fondue was forever fun! (Although I am sure I ate enough calories to last me the month of March!) What a great time we had! Myself, Lorilyn, Amie, Stephanie and Vicky... I don't know what was more enjoyable: the food or the conversation! Either way, both were great!

Mom's Movie Night

(by Amie)  This month the Mom's Movie Night Out was a lot of fun and we had a great turn out. We met up at Islands for drinks and appetizers.   We had good conversation and a lot of laughs- as usual. After Islands, we headed over to the theatre in time to see the previews. (That usually never happens.) We saw Bridget Jones' Diary and laughed... a lot. It was a very funny "chick flick" that everyone seemed to enjoy. If you did not make it out with us for this movie, please join us next time.

Bus Tour

(by Ronna)  Three of us Kidlink moms thought our little linkers would enjoy seeing a giant school bus up close, and boy were we right! PUSD showed us around one of their biggest and best, and even gave us all a grand ride in it all the way around the parking lot!!! Needless to say everyone under 5 years old thought it was the "COOLEST!" We will definitely do it again.

Fire Station Tour

(by Natasha) The visit to Fire Station 37 in Scripps Ranch was a fun one! There were about 18 kidlinkers who showed up for this event. The kids enjoyed a tour of the fire station that included a fire safety video, a peek at the fire engines, and an opportunity to pose for a picture with a fire fighter while wearing his helmet. The kids were also able to role-play some fire safety tips by crawling under fake smoke in a room, accompanied by a fire fighter in his full gear. I think this was the highlight for most of the kids! The visit concluded with a "Junior Fire Fighter" sticker for each child. The girls and I look forward to doing this again sometime!
